The Palace Gardens
The Palace gardens were designed by landscape architect Naveen Penuganti with the overall direction from the owner. The Gardens were based on raised English and European formal garden styles with sandstone planter boxes. Architect Vinod Savalam contributed to additional features such as the cobblestone driveway.
The gardens at the Palace are unique in India with English and European
formal garden styles. White sandstone was extensively used in the
gardens. The Palace gardens are at different levels with an extensive
lawn area of 40,000 SFT. There are several parts of the garden: Grand
lawn, Dinner Lawn, Swimming Pool Lawn, North Lawn, and West Lawn. The
gardens have a variety of plants from India and abroad (including East
Asia, Australia, Africa, and Latin America). The gardens have
meticulously manicured lawns around the Palace.
The Palace gate area is a grand structure with sandstone elevation and
Roman arches on either side. This gate design is all about the arrival
experience. Inside the gate is a 400 feet long cobblestone driveway with
extensive lawns and lined palm trees and Italian Cyprus on either side.
No private house in India, in modern times, has ever had such grand
entrance and driveway with extensive lawns.
