Palace Architecture and Interiors

RajKamal Palace was designed by architect Madhusudan Perur based on the vision communicated by the owner. The main theme that runs throughout the Palace is its neoclassical features and interiors. Neo-classical architecture and interiors are characterized by grandeur, simplicity of geometric forms, Greek—especially Doric - Roman detail (such as arches), dramatic use of columns, and a preference for blank walls.

Neoclassical architectural style includes interiors and furniture with straight lines, Greek columns, and high ceilings, gilded framed paintings, carpets, libraries, and busts of Greek and Roman figures. These are the themes you will see throughout the Rajkamal Palace. Other great houses with neoclassical interiors include the White House (Washington, DC) and Buckingham Palace (London).
