About The Creator & Owner

Chalapathi Raju Kalidindi’s vision always was to build a house that could be decorated with the books, paintings, and antiques he has collected over a period of three decades. His travel to more than 50 countries has helped him to collect and read a large number of books on architecture, history, philosophy, economics and government. These visits also created an interest in paintings especially the impressionist paintings originated in Paris in the late 19th century led by Claude Monet. In the process, he has collected many original impressionist paintings.

In parallel, during the visits, he also developed a hobby in reading and learning about architecture and interior decoration after visiting several palaces and structures including Windsor Castle, Palace of Versailles, White House, St. Peter’s Basilica, Buckingham Palace, and Peterhof. Because of this interest and passion what started as a relatively simple house turned into a palace like structure with great gardens and interiors.

For Chalapathi Raju interior decoration is not about shopping and decorating rooms but about collecting things over a period of time and bringing them to the design. For him, interior decoration should show one’s personality and refinement and how well he/she is read and travelled.
